Freshfalsabzi, a Delhi-based online farm-to-fork service that provides cleaned fresh fruit and vegetables at lowest prices right at the customers’ doorstep today announced that it has achieved its break even within 24 months of its launch, fuelled largely by online & offline model. Freshfalsabzi has managed to keep a low profile whilst growing steadily and increasing their reach.
Over the last few years, the online grocery market in India has gained a lot of traction with the popularity of the digital medium. Reports suggest that India is the sixth largest grocery market in the world with overall grocery market in India.
Commenting on achieving the milestone, Mr. Rajesh Gupta, Founder of Freshfalsabzi said, “We are elated to announce that we have crossed our break-even point, that was the plan and we did it. By the end of this year the company is expected to cross 10 million dollar even. We are also looking at introducing new range of products – home-made pickles and masalas. We are focused on penetrating in tier-I cities and empowering small and local business, which gives us an edge over our competitors. Our focus has always been to have the highest quality of products and offer them at the lowest prices.
Freshfalsabzi is the brainchild of Mr. Rajesh Gupta. He has put together a team of professionals and consultants to see his dream take shape in the mid of 2014. The Budget outlay for this project is pegged at INR 100 Crores spread over a period of five years. The amount is being utilized in technology innovations, business capacity building, marketing, and advertising.
