On Saturday, 29th April 2017
Meenakari Art is the most traditional art form done by colouring and ornamenting the surface of metals by fusing brilliant colors that are decorated in an intricate design. Initially, the work of Meenakari often went unnoticed as this art was traditionally used as a backing for the famous kundan or stone-studded jewellery. To revitalize this traditional Art Form, The Art Hub is hosting a workshop with Artist Trishna Patnaik where one can learn the basic techniques of Meenakari Art. The workshop is scheduled on Saturday, 29th April 2017 at The Art Hub, Atria Mall, Worli.
Meenakari is not just confined to traditional Jewellery but diversifies into more modern products, often with a copper base, including bowls, ashtrays, key chains, vases, spoons, figures of deities, and wall pieces. It is a great work for any kind of marble bases as well. In the Meenakari Painting workshop, one will be working on a MDF board using glass colours to create a beautiful painting.
