Asia’s most trusted and visited crowdfunding platform Kettoconducted a fun, online campaign to give orphans the joy of unwrapping gifts thisChristmas. The Mumbai-based crowdfunding platform partnered with Miracle Foundation India to make orphans feel loved and special by sponsoring gifts for 1,000 children. Ketto made a donation of Rs. 1,00,000 to Miracle Foundation India, to give Christmas gifts to the orphans supported by the non-profit organisation.
To engage people in this initiative, Ketto rolled out ‘Ketto Elves’,an online campaign that engaged people in a fun activity, at the end of which Ketto made a donation of Rs. 100 to Miracle Foundation India on behalf of the user, thus enabling them to become a Ketto Elf for an underprivileged child without parents!
In less than 2 weeks, the activity saw over 1,000 entries with people sending in warm Christmas wishes for orphans.
“Every year, many nonprofits and individuals raise funds on Ketto before Christmas and we try and give them as much support as possible. This time we wanted to send love ourselves and we thought surprising orphans with Christmas gifts would be a nice way to make them feel special. It’s been a pleasure partnering with Miracle Foundation India for this activity. We’re super excited to see the kids’ reactions!”, says Varun Sheth, Co-founder and CEO of Ketto.
Miracle Foundation India is going to deliver Christmas gifts—along with the messages from the Ketto Elves—to the orphans they support on Christmas.
Miracle Foundation Founder Ms. Caroline Boudreaux was thrilled about the partnership, saying, “Thank you to all the Ketto Elves who came forward to make Christmas special for the orphans we support. You are sending more than a Christmas gift—you are sending love to these children and making them feel so special. Thank you Ketto for partnering with us for this thoughtful, fun campaign!”
